How they differ
Mavelpoint is a DJ and artist press kit with a big community: its site shows more than 30,000 artists. The free plan costs nothing and needs no card. Riders (tech and hospitality) come with its paid plans, whose prices weren't published yet when we checked, and it offers custom pricing for booking agencies.
StageOS is also free with no card, and it's built around getting booked. Besides the EPK (bio, mixes, videos, photos, technical rider, rates and availability), you can find festivals that are open for applications and apply from StageOS, pitch promoters, and have your gigs listed in what's on for your city. Members can also be added to StageOS playlists.
Choose Mavelpoint if…
- you want to be part of a large artist directory;
- you only need a press kit and plan to do your own outreach;
- you play mainly outside the UK, where StageOS lists fewer gigs and festivals today.
Choose StageOS if…
- you want to find festival open calls and apply from the same place as your EPK;
- you want what's on listings and promoter pitches as well;
- you'd like a chance to be added to StageOS playlists.
Playlist placements
Members on a free trial or a paid plan with a published EPK and YouTube videos are added to StageOS playlists on YouTube (StageOS TV on YouTube): genre playlists, Featured Artists and event playlists such as ADE. Their EPK can show a "Hear me on StageOS playlists" badge. See the playlists.
