How they differ

backstage.dj is made for DJs. The free plan includes a presskit, a tech rider and an EPK PDF, with no card. Pro is inexpensive, and Pro kits are shown first on its Explore page, where promoters browse artists by genre and city. Its Agency plan is a cheap way for agencies to run roster pages.

StageOS also gives DJs a free EPK with a technical rider, rates and availability. The difference is the other direction: instead of waiting to be found, you can find gigs and festivals. Your gigs appear in what's on for your city, you can browse festivals open for applications and apply with your EPK, and members can be added to StageOS playlists. Agencies can see StageOS for agents.

Choose backstage.dj if…

  • you want a low-cost Pro plan to be shown first to promoters browsing its directory;
  • you're an agency looking for cheap roster pages;
  • you mainly want a downloadable EPK PDF.

Choose StageOS if…

  • you want to find gigs and festival open calls, not just be listed;
  • you want festival applications and what's on listings with your EPK;
  • you'd like a chance to be added to StageOS playlists.

Playlist placements

Members on a free trial or a paid plan with a published EPK and YouTube videos are added to StageOS playlists on YouTube (StageOS TV on YouTube): genre playlists, Featured Artists and event playlists such as ADE. Their EPK can show a "Hear me on StageOS playlists" badge. See the playlists.
