About this venue
Newcastle University Students' Union (NUSU) occupies a historic red-brick building in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne on the university campus. The building serves as the central social, cultural, and welfare hub for students, featuring bars, social spaces, and vibrant performance venues. Its dedicated basement performance arena, known as 'The Venue', hosts a wide range of live events, including touring bands, stand-up comedy, DJ sets, and large student club nights. Open to both students and the general public for major gigs and events, it remains a cornerstone of the live music scene in Newcastle.
