Ibiza scene report: where the parties moved in 2026, and what changes for 2027
The island can't open new clubs, so the music moves around the ones it has. Chinois, Eden and Cova Santa took new residencies, Amnesia turned 50, and Lío's harbour home is on borrowed time.

Ibiza has a rule that shapes everything else on the island: its 2023 General Plan bans new nightclubs. Nobody gets to build the next superclub. So every season the scene changes in a different way. Brands move between the venues that already exist, smaller rooms take on bigger names, and every lease negotiation becomes headline news.
2026 showed all three.
The smaller rooms got bigger
The clearest move of the summer was toward the island's more intimate venues. Chinois took two new Tuesday stories: Anjunadeep's first Ibiza residency, and Blanche moving across for three exclusive Tuesdays. Eden in San Antonio hosted debut residencies from 23 Degrees and GALACTICA. Cova Santa welcomed Voulez-Vous for its first Ibiza residency.
For DJs this matters. A brand moving into a smaller room usually means more warm-up and support slots that go to local and resident talent rather than touring names, and those are the slots you can realistically pitch for.
The big rooms celebrated
At the other end, Amnesia marked its 50th anniversary with a closing festival on 10 October, the same night as closings at [UNVRS], Ushuaïa and the first of Pacha's two closing nights. Ministry of Sound also came back to the island in September for the first time in a decade.
Lío and the harbour
The story to watch for 2027 is Lío. Its lease at Marina Ibiza was due to end in 2025 and was extended for 2026. La Voz de Ibiza reported in September that talks were close to keeping the cabaret club at the harbour through the 2027 season too, but probably not beyond. Lío's planned move to the Hotel Corso faces opposition from neighbours and local politicians, partly because of the ban on new nightclubs. Nothing is confirmed yet.
Still on this winter
The season is over, but the island isn't empty. Chinois closes its TRIP series on 1 November. Akasha runs weekend parties into November. Pikes has Halloween on 31 October. Music On is at Pacha for New Year's Eve. All of them are on Ibiza What's On.
What it means if you want to play Ibiza in 2027
With no new clubs coming, the opportunities are in the residencies and brands moving between existing venues, and in the sunset bars, beach clubs and hotels that book residents over the winter. Watch where the brands land when the 2027 announcements start in January, and pitch the venues before the posters go up.
