About this venue
The Globe is a community-owned live music venue and bar in Newcastle upon Tyne, operated by Pink Lane Jazz Co-op (Jazz.Coop). It holds the distinction of being the first music venue in the UK to be bought and run freehold by a cooperative, following a successful community share issue in 2014. Spread across two floors, the venue features a 120-capacity main live space downstairs and a 50-capacity upstairs room. It hosts a diverse programme of events ranging from jazz, folk, blues, and indie to DJ nights, dance events, workshops, and jam sessions, serving as an important hub for grassroots music in the region.
