About this venue
The Globe is a community-owned live music venue and bar in Newcastle upon Tyne, operated by Pink Lane Jazz Co-op Ltd (Jazz.Coop). Purchased freehold through a community share issue in 2014, it was the first bar and music venue in the UK to be owned and run by a music cooperative. The venue features a two-room layout that hosts a wide range of genres including jazz, folk, blues, indie, roots, acoustic music, and club nights. Alongside its gig and event schedule, Jazz.Coop runs courses, workshops, and regular jam sessions to support local musicians and the music community.
