About this venue
The Broad Chare is a traditional gastropub situated on Newcastle upon Tyne's historic Quayside, established in 2011 through a partnership between 21 Hospitality Group and Live Theatre. Housed in a converted former warehouse, it offers well-kept real ales, honest British pub fare, and a warm, unpretentious atmosphere spread over a ground-floor bar and an upstairs dining room. While acclaimed as one of the UK's top gastropubs and a long-time holder of a Michelin Bib Gourmand, The Broad Chare maintains its authentic pub identity with bar snacks, seasonal dishes, and local craft brews.
