About this venue
Housed in a former Victorian warehouse constructed in 1870, The Biscuit Factory opened in 2002 and is the UK's largest independent commercial contemporary art, craft, and design gallery, located in Newcastle upon Tyne's cultural quarter of Ouseburn Valley. The dynamic multi-floor space displays a constantly rotating exhibition of fine art, sculpture, prints, and craftsmanship from over 250 artists. In addition to its public exhibition galleries, café, and rooftop terrace, the venue features dedicated function spaces—including The Biscuit Room, The Gallery, and The Garden Room—hosting private hire events, weddings, corporate banquets, awards ceremonies, and cultural gatherings.
