Miami from Halloweek to Art Week: where DJs are playing this winter

Miami never really has an off season, but the stretch from late October to early December is when the city turns it up. Halloweek fills the clubs for a full week, and then Miami Art Week brings the art world, and a lot of the dance music world, to town in the first days of December.

Halloweek

Club Space runs its Halloweek series across the last weekend of October, with Camelphat and Volkoder on 30 October, a long Halloween bill on the 31st with Bedouin and Seth Troxler b2b Victor Calderone, and Dixon b2b Jimi Jules with WhoMadeWho on 1 November.

Upstairs at Floyd, the room for the deeper end, Halloweek brings L.P. Rhythm and Salomé Le Chat on 30 October. Over on Miami Beach, Do Not Sit On The Furniture keeps its run of melodic and progressive nights going through November.

Art Week

Miami Art Week is the closest thing the city has to a second Music Week. The Club Space "Space Basel" weekend lands on 3 and 4 December, with Jamie Jones' Paradise and Music On with Marco Carola, and pop-up nights across Wynwood fill the rest of the week.

StageOS members in Miami

The best part of Miami right now is who is coming up underneath the headline names:

• DJ Reebok, a jungle and drum and bass DJ and producer, plays the WVUM Spookathon on 27 October and Boombox Halloween on 31 October. Jungle in a house and techno city is a hard road, and he is building it night by night.
• HARLEM, a Miami alt hip-hop and rage artist, joined StageOS this week and went straight in with three festival applications. That is how you start.
