Angelica Sani Large EnsemblePRO

Angelica Sani Large Ensemble is a nine-piece ensemble founded within Siena Jazz University, presenting an entirely original repertoire in which orchestral writing, improvisation and electronics coexist within a unified musical language. The project stems from a reflection on the relationship between the individual and the fast pace of contemporary society. Each composition explores this reality from a different perspective, focusing on the need to slow down and rediscover a space for listening, awareness and presence. Through the use of samples, electronics allow sounds drawn from everyday life to enter the compositions, interacting with the music and becoming part of the narrative. These sonic elements leave room for the listener’s own experience and interpretation.
