About this venue
The Golf Tavern is a historic links-side pub founded in 1456 that serves cask ales and a British pub menu on rustic wooden tables. Venue highlights: The pub provides in-house catering with multiple vegetarian options and a full bar available for private hires. The interior features wood panelling and leather seating that support both mingling and sit-down dining. On-site pub games such as pool and darts provide informal entertainment during events. Best for: Casual birthday parties, post-round golf gatherings, and wakes or small memorial receptions. Location: The surrounding area is links-side and popular with golfers, offering easy access to nearby greens and walking routes that guests often use before or after events. What guests say: The Caddie Club has its own bar and allows guest playlists and personalised decorations during private hires. The Caddie Club's staff keep refreshments topped up and manage private bar service responsively throughout functions.
