Details
Newcastle-born group Knats combine high-energy jazz fusion with drum and bass rhythms, punk intensity, and West African polyrhythms. Formed by bassist Stan Woodward and drummer King David-Ike Elechi, the quintet dubbed their sound Geordie Jazz to highlight their North East roots. Signed to Gearbox Records, the group recorded their debut album at Damon Albarn's Studio 13 before releasing their follow-up record A Great Day In Newcastle.
